North American releases(not mentioned yet): I have never been able to fathom why it has the fanbase it does.Ĭan't say I care for gaming past the 2D cartridge era, but I'd be lying if I said the Dreamcast wasn't the most fun I've had since, so I'll suggest these: I suppose I will end by saying Sonic Adventure was poor at the time and time has not been kind in the slightest. Other than Ikaruga and Rez, for both of which I would look to the 360, then I do not know much about the Dreamcast shmup library.
I reckon Soul calibur would have aged badly but powerstone could still be worth a look.

There is a PC version, and an arcade version as well I guess, but the DC version does somewhat better than the N64 one that I reckon most remember. Shenmue II maybe, though the xbox version is probably the better bet for me, even though I have yet to get around to doing that version properly. Mr Driller was since done better but this version was by no means bad. Never played the other versions out there but I reckon this will still get it done. I liked Phantasy Star Online but I am not sure it holds up both in general, let alone with the sequels. Alas it appears to be one of the single player takes on this gameplay style and they are so much better with multiplayer (even if many devs do not think so any more).Ī quick scan of the list reminded me Seventh Cross Evolution exists, but I would probably play spore instead. Record Of Lodoss War could be worth a look. Skies of Arcadia had its moments and still beats a lot of games released today, but I would probably look to the Gamecube version instead. Jet Set Radio/Jet Grind Radio I quite enjoyed, not sure how well it might have aged. This on top of the games not ageing the best, most are still pretty playable unlike the N64 library but if we are doing examples of the gameplay style then the options get somewhat more limited. It's funny how she moans in different ways when she is hit specially when is she hit a lot in a short amount of time. What are your concerns with regards to exclusives and console exclusives? It is perhaps not quite as bad as the original xbox but such a thing could narrow options a bit. Aiming and shooting is also a bit difficult as it can be noticed on my video but it is part of the challenge and fun. Scurge emphasizes platforming elements, though the game's isometric vantage point makes jumps difficult to align. The gameplay takes place in an isometric perspective. Throughout the game, Jenosa Arma will have to battle various forms of the Scurge virus and race against the clock as the parasite slowly takes over Jenosa's body. It follows the protagonist Jenosa Arma, a female bounty hunter tasked with hunting a parasitic lifeform called the "Scurge" an alien entity capable of rapidly adapting to and infecting biological, mechanical, and digital systems, including the player. The game was released on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS in 2006. I found the cartridge with the box and all for $6. □□□️ Playing Scurge: Hive for the Game Boy Advance! It is a very underated game and I don't see many people talking about it but it's great.
